Last fall, against what some would deem 'better judgement,' we purchased a run-down, abandoned, very old home on 60 overgrown acres in rural, Litchfield, Connecticut. Over the last year, the house, originally built in 1792, has undergone a massive renovation, affectionately referred to as 'Phase 1', which included a new roof, new siding, and a new foundation. This blog is an attempt to chronicle the recent construction and the many more projects to come. Enjoy!
This photo was taken in May 2010, just before we put an offer on the house.
